mw4 is using ricochet and i keep seeing people say "undetected" on every cheat site. is that even a real thing? how worried should i actually be about bans on this game? i play on my main account so i dont want to be dumb about it

honest answer, nobody can guarantee safe or undetectable. anyone who says 100 percent safe forever is selling you a feeling. mw4 uses RICOCHET with server side analytics, detection systems, mitigations and account security stuff, plus PC security requirements like TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. read Modern Warfare 4 anti-cheat and account risk notes on the product page too

ok so what actually happens if you get caught

from the risk list: temporary restrictions, permanent activision account bans, getting removed from multiplayer or dmz, losing progression/inventory/purchased content, restrictions on connected cod titles, and possibly platform account consequences. so yeah its not just "oh i get kicked from a lobby"

lmao and people still use their main. dont use your main. that is the one rule

do spoofers fix any of this? ive seen hwid spoofer mentioned everywhere

i cant tell you what any spoofer covers for a game that just came out. the site has a separate HWID spoofer page, read what that product says it does and what game versions it is listed for. but a spoofer is not a magic undo button for an account ban, dont assume that

yeah. different problem than "will i get detected"

stuff that helps risk wise from the product side is boring things. clear status page, update monitoring after patches, controlled access, stable overlay, customer support. none of that equals safe tho. you accept the risk, thats literally how it is worded. run a TPM and Secure Boot check on pc before you buy anything
